Clann Bhríde condemns the most recent acts of police brutality in Minneapolis which resulted in the murder of George Floyd (may he rest in power). We also condemn the ongoing, systemic violence perpetuated against Black people in the name of white supremacy. As devotees of a goddess of justice, community, and healing, we believe that Brighid’s Work in the world calls us directly to anti-racist efforts which include standing in solidarity with our Black neighbors and uplifting them in their struggle and grief.

We honor George Floyd of Minneapolis, Ahmaud Aubrey of Brunswick, Georgia, and Tony McDade of Tallahassee, Florida. May these men and all others murdered by white supremacy find justice, peace, and power. May their families be comforted. May Brighid guide us all in doing Her Work to remake the world.
