Make flower arrangements, bouquets and garlands. Decorate the house with them inside and out.
Go out and gather a bough from a tree for the May Bush. Decorate it with flowers, ribbons and other things. Hang it up outside the house or burn it at the end of the day.
Make food for the feast, including items such as rolls, bannocks, porridge, cheese and lamb.
Visit a holy well if you are near one, or a river or stream. Place nine white stones in the water as an offering to Brighid. (This is a traditional custom from the Scottish Borders.)
