I’m extremely happy to share this report on Clann Bhríde’s presence at New York City’s Pagan Pride Day this weekend. This is the first official “real world” presence for our organization and by all accounts it was a success. Aster Breo and Sage Ambue, two of CB’s Founders, tabled for roughly seven hours down in the beautiful Battery Park overlooking the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor. Thank you for NYC Pagan Pride Day for hosting this event and giving us space to share our love for Brighid and network with other Pagans and Polytheists.

At our estimate, Aster and I passed out roughly 100 business cards with CB’s logo and URL. We completely ran out of full color brochures, gave away more than 50 candles lit from the Kildare flame, passed out information and materials for weaving a Brighid’s cross out of pipe cleaners, and delighted many children and adults alike with the beautiful coloring pages designed by our own Bridee Redbud, a member of our Facebook group. We are both exhausted but very pleased with the overwhelming interest and support of our group.

In addition to countless individuals, we also connected with many local organizations such as Inis Úll – Apple Isle Grove and Paumanok Island Protogrove (ADF), Three Rivers Grove (OBOD), and the North River Kindred (The Troth). Thank you all for your gracious welcome during our first Pagan Pride Day event and invitations to attend future meetings and festivals.

Next month, Clann Bhríde will also have a presence at Pagan Pride in Norfolk, VA on Saturday, October 19. Look for our members at the booth for Three Branch River Grove, ADF.
